Pet the Cat

What the game is about

  • Tap or click the cat to pet it.
  • When the cat is happy for a while, you unlock new items that let you pet it even more easily.
  • There are 4 items you can unlock.
  • The cat can display 5 different moods, which are represented as simple emojis.

Game creation process

  • The game was created as a test of modern AI tools.
  • The AI set up the basic game structure, but I added and fine‑tuned the design and user experience by hand to make the game fun and smooth.

Forensic 3D

What is forensic 3D?

Forensics uses science to fight crime, helping investigators and giving courts evidence that’s clear and undeniable.
Forensic 3D takes this one step further by reconstructing or capturing a crime scene in three‑dimensional detail, so that every angle and measurement can be preserved indefinitely and examined in detail.

Forensic photogrammetry

Forensic 3D also includes photogrammetry, which takes structured photo datasets and turn them into precise, digital three‑dimensional models. The process hinges on recording how light interacts with space. Each image is a snapshot of that interaction, and when stitched together, it reveals a faithful 3D reconstruction of the subject.

If it can be photographed, then it can also be modeled. That’s the power of forensic photogrammetry!

Forensic visualisations

Sometimes the view you need simply can’t be captured with any handheld camera. In those moments a virtual “viewport” can be digitally constructed, giving the court a window with increased context that would otherwise be impossible to view through.

Other times the goal is to overlay analysis results onto the scene itself. Such as by embedding positions, trajectory lines, or temporal evidence directly in the 3D space, letting experts see the evidence in its exact spatial context.

The result? A visual narrative that moves beyond static photos, by guiding investigators and the courtroom through every critical detail with clarity and impact.

2018

Foliage system particles

A particle-like system that is based on shader 'magic'. The particles are distributed with the foliage system within Unreal Engine 4 to allow for precise artistic placement of visual effects in a time effective manner. This system was used to decorate a 2×2 km landscape.

This implementation is optimized for low-end computers. A laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M from 2014 was used to benchmark and validate that the performance is at an acceptable level.

2018

Bolt & Bobby

A two player cooperative puzzle game where each player controls a simple character and attempts to solve puzzles through the use of their unique abilities.

I was involved in many aspects of the project from modeling and texturing to coding. However, my main contributions were the visual effects, materials, and environment art.
This game was produced during the Vertical Slice course i.e. the second production focused course during the programme.

This game won the Jury Spotlight award at GGC 2018 for its polish in gameplay and graphics.

2017

Galactic Smugglers Inc.

A two player cooperative game where the players have to pilot a space ship through a hostile environment to reach the designated location.
I was tasked with creating art assets and contributed with some coding. My contributions includes the materials and the visual effects for shields, engines, and explosions.
This arcade game was produced during the Arcade Games i.e. the first production focused course during the programme.
